The Model

Final Animation

Self directed study of digital sculpting and procedural motion.

  • Modelling from a sketch / reference – blocking out and building the base model from a concept sketch

  • Lighting the 3D scene – setting up scene lighting to establish mood, depth and focus

  • Digital sculpting – refining form and detail with Blender's sculpting tools

  • Shading and texturing – authoring materials and textures (look-dev)

  • Animating using geometry nodes – rotating instances to create a cloud of unidentified forms

  • Merging 3D animation with a video – using Adobe After Effects combining animation render from Blender with a video

Macrix Technology Group is a boutique software house building bespoke solutions for heavy industry – metalworking, mining, automated warehousing. The identity grew in-house, one small piece at a time – mailings, two-pagers, flyers, social posts – and the 25th anniversary was the point where it consolidated into a full concept.

It was built to carry three things: the stability required to write code for heavy industrial systems, software treated as a physical material, and adaptability, drawn from the company's bespoke work and its move to bring AI into it. The sequence below traces that idea in five steps – from raw binary to a solid solution and back to a fluid, adaptable state, with steel refining as the visual reference.
