Archetype Archaeology Exhibition

“Archetype Archaeology” is a project born from my deep and long-standing fascination with the world of signs and symbols. I’ve always been captivated by how these seemingly simple visual elements come to hold vast spaces of meaning and how they can stir deeply personal, sometimes obscure emotions within us. This curiosity has become a main pillar of my artistic practice and a fundamental aspect of my artistic language. “Archetype Archaeology,” in a way, serves as a manifesto of this ongoing interest and research.

This project encompasses a series of artworks, including 7 large-scale textile paintings titled “Maps” and five objects crafted from sawn paper called “Shells.” Alongside these pieces, I developed a thesis, “Archetype in statu nascendi: Archetype in process of crystallization.” The initial exhibition of this body of work formed part of my diploma presentation at Galeria Pionova in Gdańsk and later traveled (in a slightly simplified form) to Gallery Wieża Ciśnień in Kalisz, where ambient music by Lucas Froeliger enhanced the presentation. The “Maps” series, in particular, represents an ongoing exploration into the fundamental principles of the universe, inviting contemplation of the world through schematics rendered in the most basic of shapes.
